“My go-to pair of Aldo boots I’ve had for years, recently started to show increased heavy wear. Rubber caps came off, the fabric around my heel looked like someone chewed it off, and color spots.

I was bit nervous to drop off the shoes, for the shop to tell me how horrendous the condition of boots were in, but they didn’t blink an eye and made sure it would look like new and told me how they would replace the fabric around the heel to leather. I was quoted a reasonable price and quick turnaround time of 1 week.

Got my babies back and they look great, I’m so glad I’ve got my fave boots back in A shape and have got a new spot to bring all my shoe needs to!!”

Check them out, you’ll be glad you did! http://mikesqualityshoerepair.com/2015/05/12/check-them-out-youll-be-glad-you-did/ http://mikesqualityshoerepair.com/2015/05/12/check-them-out-youll-be-glad-you-did/#comments Tue, 12 May 2015 19:23:45 +0000 http://mikesqualityshoerepair.com/?p=385

“Here’s a review of how procrastination and wrong timing led me to Mikes Shoe Repair. For work I wear dress pumps. Nothing crazy, usually in the 2-3.5 inch range and like most girls, I have many different options but usually end up rotating my favorite four. Well, I ended up wearing out all of the heel tips except my least worn nude pumps. So what do I do? Get them fixed, right? Wrong!! I wear only grey, navy and chocolate dress pants that match with my nude pumps. Until the day I’m at work and almost slip because one of my heel tips came completely off and leaves me walking on the metal screw.

At this point I’m pretty limited of options. I can run to the mall but I’m at work and I can’t be rushed to make these kind of decisions on the fly. So I take to yelp and search for a shoe repair spot that’s close to me. I find one, take a drive, assuming they would be open as it’s a pretty regular day. Crap! Closed 4/20 and reopening for usual business on 4/21. I take to yelp again and find Mike’s. I make the 10 minute drive and I’m glad I did.

I walked in and pulled off the heels asking if he could help me. The man behind the counter smiled and asked me to have a seat. In less than ten minutes I walked out with brand new tips for a reasonable $8.50 charge. They were shaved to fit and put on with care and whatever tips he used, I love. I no longer sound like a galloping horse on hard surfaces. Maybe their rubber who knows!

I’ll be back with the other pairs for sure. The man that helped me was polite, the place was to be expected and I noticed some high end shoes being repaired there as well. You don’t spend hundreds of dollars on designer shoes and give them to a hack place to fix them!”
